Privacy statement

Only what you fill in yourself on the waitlist form, plus the minimum needed to keep that form working and spam-free. When you sign up, we record:

• Email address — the address you enter. We use it to tell you when Karfolio goes live.
• Vehicle type — optional: car, motorcycle, camper, project, spotter or other. Pick nothing and we store nothing here.
• Your referral code — an eight-character code derived from your email address, so you can invite others.
• Referrer's code — if you arrived through someone else's invite link (the ?ref= in the link), we keep that code with your signup.
• Form origin — a short label for the place on the site where you signed up, for example hero or footer.
• Signup date — the moment the signup came in.
• Confirmation status — a yes/no flag indicating whether the signup has been confirmed.

There is nothing more in the form than this. We ask for no name, no address, no phone number and no vehicle details.

To stop the form being spammed, the server keeps track of how many signups come in per IP address: at most five per ten minutes. That happens purely in the server's working memory. After ten minutes such a record no longer counts and is cleared out. The IP address does not go into the database and is not linked to your signup.

The form also contains a hidden field and a timing check to recognise automated submissions. Nothing extra about you is stored there either.

This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising software. There are no tracking pixels and no embedded third-party services that follow your behaviour.

The only cookie in the project is the session cookie of the restricted admin panel. It is set only when a Karfolio administrator logs in, so it does not affect visitors to this site.

Signups are stored through Appwrite, the platform the Karfolio backend runs on. Your data goes nowhere beyond that: we do not sell it, do not rent it out and do not share it with advertisers.

If no storage is available, the form refuses the signup with a visible error message. An address never disappears silently.

We keep your signup until the launch of Karfolio, and after that no longer than is needed to inform you about that launch and your access. Unsubscribe or ask for deletion and we remove your data from the waitlist.

The IP address from the abuse check is the exception: it lives only in the server's working memory and disappears on its own within ten minutes.

You have the right to access, correct, delete and transfer your data, and you may withdraw your consent at any time. One message to info@karfolio.com is enough — we only need your email address to find your signup. You will hear from us within a month.

If you believe we are not handling your data carefully, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
